No jobs are appearing
Nothing has arrived on Jobs or Suggestions, and you cannot tell whether Rolehound is broken or simply has nothing to say. Work through these in order; the first two account for most of it.
Check your search titles first
With no search titles set, nothing is searched: the pass finds an empty title list and stops before it contacts anything at all. The same happens when Search enabled is switched off.
So: the Search tab, Search preferences, and check there are chips under Search titles and that the switch is on. Search titles covers how to choose them.
The run may not have happened yet
Searches run on a fixed schedule in the background. It is not a setting, there is no search now button on any page, and the only run you trigger by hand is the one at the end of the setup wizard. If you saved your titles a few minutes ago, wait for the next one.
Overview's Discovery card counts total jobs, passed, flagged and scored. If total jobs is climbing, discovery works and your problem is further down this page.
Your gates may be too tight
Everything found is measured against your criteria, and a role that fails is dropped rather than hidden. Two settings do most of the dropping.
The salary floor is compared against the top of the advertised range. A role with no salary stated is never dropped for it — that one is flagged for review instead.
The commute check needs both a Home postcode and a Max commute (min). One without the other does nothing whatsoever. Distance (km) sits on the same card but is not a gate.
Widening a gate takes effect on the next run. Nothing already on your list is re-measured — but a dropped role was never stored, so it is not remembered as one you have seen. If the listing is still live at the next search it is found again, measured against the new criteria, and kept. What you do not get back is anything since taken down at the source. Salary, location and commute has the detail.
Jobs are arriving but Suggestions is empty
These are two different lists. Jobs is everything that was kept. Suggestions is what has been scored since.
Scoring needs an active profile, so with no CV imported nothing is ever scored. It is also a metered AI call, so it pauses once your balance will no longer cover the next one, and resumes by itself after you top up. Scores or documents are missing works through both.
What a low balance does and does not stop
Credit pays for none of the keyword searching or the watchlist, so those keep filling your Jobs list whatever your balance. It does pay for reading roles out of job alerts in your mailbox and out of URLs you submit yourself, so both of those stop on a low balance and resume once you top up.
