Rolehound

Simple pricing, and your own key if you'd rather.

Two things are charged for: the platform that keeps running in the background, and the AI work it does on your behalf. Bring your own provider key and the second one stops being ours to bill.

How it works

  • Free trial

Every new account starts on a free trial — 14 days with the whole product open, so you can import a CV, set your criteria and see what comes back before deciding anything. No card is asked for at sign-up and none is needed to start.

  • Subscription

£5 per month for the platform itself: the searches that keep running in the background, job URLs you add by hand, the connected mailbox and the reply tracking that goes with it, and the company watchlist.

  • AI credit

The AI work — reading your CV and the job pages behind your links, scoring roles against your profile, classifying replies, drafting your CV and cover letter — draws down prepaid credit, priced on what each call actually uses rather than a flat per-job fee. Top up in packs of £10 or £25 whenever you want more, and the credit you get is the amount you pay.

  • Or bring your own key

Add an Anthropic, OpenAI or Google Gemini key on the Billing page and Rolehound stops metering AI work entirely. Nothing comes off your credit and nothing is charged for it; your provider bills you directly for what you use.

The prices above are the prices you pay. Kyrby Limited is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged on any of them.

What the subscription covers

The subscription pays for the platform: the searches that keep running between your visits, the job URLs you add by hand, the connected mailbox and the reply tracking built on it, and the company watchlist. The AI work those things feed is paid for separately, out of credit.

Your account is yours either way. Cancelling does not close it or remove anything from it — your jobs, your applications, your generated documents and your whole history stay where they are, and so does any credit you have already bought.

How credit is spent

Credit moves only when an AI call actually succeeds, and it is charged on the tokens that call really used — never on an estimate, and never on a call that failed. Before a call is made, Rolehound checks that your balance could cover the worst case that call might cost, and refuses it if it could not. Metered AI spend is rolled up by month and by feature on the Billing page in your account, covering the last year; individual calls are not listed.

If your credit runs out

The AI work pauses. Nothing is deleted, nothing is cancelled and nothing is lost — scoring, drafting and the rest simply wait, and everything that was waiting is picked up again as soon as there is credit to pay for it. Top up, or add a provider key of your own, and it carries on from where it stopped.

Nothing expires credit. It sits on the account until an AI call actually uses it.

Refunds and cancellation are set out in full on the refunds and cancellation page.

Billing questions

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. The Billing page in your account has a Manage button that opens the billing portal, and the subscription is changed or cancelled from there. Cancelling does not close your account or remove your data — your jobs, applications, documents and history all stay — and any credit you have already bought stays on your balance.

What happens to credit I have not used?

It stays on your account. Credit is bought separately from the subscription, so it is not affected by cancelling one, and nothing expires it. If you would rather have money back than a balance sitting there, the refunds and cancellation page explains how to ask and what happens next.

Do I need a card to start the trial?

No. Registering asks for an email address and a password, plus an optional referral code. No payment card is wanted at sign-up, the trial starts with the account, and you are only asked for card details at the point you choose to subscribe or buy credit.

Which AI providers can I bring a key for?

Anthropic, OpenAI and Google Gemini. You choose the provider and paste the key on the Billing page; it is checked against that provider before it is saved, stored encrypted, and never shown back to you. While your own key is set, every AI call runs on it — extraction, scoring, classification and drafting alike — and Rolehound meters none of it. Clear the key and calls go back to being metered against your credit.

Where are my invoices?

On the Billing page in your account. It lists every payment with its date, amount and invoice number, and where an invoice was issued there is a PDF to download. There is also a downloadable statement of every payment on the account, plus separate histories for your credit balance and for your metered AI usage, the latter rolled up by month and by feature rather than listed call by call.
